Next up I went to Cali, the salsa capital of the world! The dancing did not disappoint; I've never seen such talented dancers (and I've never seen feet move that fast!). There is dancing every night of the week and the large clubs have professional dance shows at 1 am which amazed me every time. I danced more here than ever in my life, and loved every moment of it!
I ended my Colombian adventure in Bogota, a huge city packed with history and street art. The Candelaria neighborhood taught me about prestigious street art groups and a bike tour took me to neighborhoods I wouldn't have wandered into on my own. Artists are payed by the government to paint on historic buildings, which appreciates the value of the building. I also took a day trip to visit a salt mine in Zipaquira which has been turned into a Cathedral 130 meters underground. Every aspect of the cathedral is built out of salt! I also got to stay with family friends in their beautiful home in Usaque and explore more neighborhoods of Bogota!
